Never Leave Your Pit Or Grill

Don't go looking for trouble!

Murphy's Law Goes Like This: "Anything that can go wrong will go wrong". That little statement seems to hold true when outdoor cooking. The moment you go run an errand while barbecuing or headed to the kitchen to get something if grilling, that seems to be the exact moment something goes wrong.  The fire will either begin to die down, get to hot, -up, you'll run out of gas, or the meat will fall into the fire.

Hang by your pit and try to get others to run your errands. They may think you rather silly or even lazy, but experience has shown that it only takes a moment to ruin an otherwise perfectly good meal.

Try to have everything you need together at the pit - including a cold drink - so that you can control the situation while at the same time having a relaxing afternoon.
