Purchase The Right Size Grill

Don't get caught short on the size of your pit

This part can be difficult, particularly when money is tight and you still wish to be outside grilling away.  Or we see a real bargain, but not just exactly what would would like to have.

What we are talking about is the all too familiar situation where we purchase a "too small of a grill".  For everyday use and situations, a smaller average grill is perfect most of the time. But on those once in a while situations where you are having a party or extra guests are coming over, too small just won't work!

It is our recommendation that you do a little homework to determine exactly what size pit you need.  Think back, maybe ask someone their opinion also, about how large of a group you have cooked for.  Once you know the maximum number of people you will ever cook for, then determine what types of foods you would cook for such an event.

Then finally, determine what size of a grill or pit you would need to cook that much food.  The point here is that you can always downsize your cooking event with a larger grill, but there is no way you can upsize your grill for a larger party!

Yes, we know, it's just not practical.  That is our point, practical does not belong in the backyard with a too small pit.  If you possibly can, take the plunge, spend a few extra bucks and get the right size grill you will need to take care of your largest parties.  You and your guests will certainly appreciate the effort. It will pay off for you in spades!
