Spicy Marinated Turkey BreastsThis has a little kick to bootThis turkey recipe is easy and doesn't take all day. It is great for an evening meal with friends and family served with a glass of white wine. Freeze the remaining turkey for another day. Let's begin with 2 (3 pound) boneless turkey breast halves
Preheat your grill for medium heat. In a small glass or stainless steel mixing bowl, thoroughly combine the garlic, basil, and cayenne and black pepper. Once the turkey has been rinsed and pat dried with paper towels, rub the marinade over the turkey breasts. Insert cloves evenly into the turkey breasts. In a large zip lock bag, blend vegetable oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, and brown sugar. Place the breasts in the bag and coat evenly . Marinate in the refrigerator, turning occasionally, for at least 4 hours. Preheat grill for medium heat. Lightly coat the grill grate with cooking oil. Discard the marinade and place the turkey breasts on the grill. Close the lid, and grill turkey breasts about 25 to 30 minutes turning occasionally so they do not burn. The internal temperature should be 160° in the thickest part of the meat. |
